Moises Padilla Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo of Negros Occidental has asked the national government to intervene in addressing the resurgence of armed conflict in the countryside.

The local government needs the support of the national government to bring about development and progress in conflict zones, according to Yulo.

The mayor said the local government’s hands are tied due to limited resources. (https://t.ly/jSNI)

“We need the intervention of the national government,” he added.

Yulo said that more roads are needed in the area to allow farmers to transport their produce to the town proper.
