Walang hihigit pa! Duterte calls Cristina Romualdez the most beautiful mayor in the world

Tacloban City Mayor Cristina Romualdez must have been smiling from ear to ear when President Rodrigo Duterte called her “the most beautiful mayor in the world.”

In his speech at the Sangyaw Festival of Lights Friday (June 29), Duterte addressed Romualdez’s husband, Alfred, and asked him not to be angry for complimenting the mayor.

“Huwag ka lang magalit. But ang Tacloban ang pinaka-magandang mayor sa buong… Kung hindi sa buong Pilipinas, sa mundo,” the President said.

Duterte added that his remark was just “an appreciation of beauty” and “pure admiration.”

Aside from the Romualdezes, other politikos in the audience include former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, who are Alfred’s cousins, Senator Cynthia Villar and Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino.
