VM Ganzon negative for coronavirus in repeat test
Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon who tested positive for coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is now negative of the virus.
Ganzon announced the good news yesterday, two weeks after he contracted the illness.
His second reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test showed a negative Covid-19 result. (https://bit.ly/3bv7TYF)
He could now be released from the hospital depending on the doctor’s advice.
Ganzon – asymptomatic – was the first city official who got infected. He went on hospital quarantine.
To recall, it was Mayor Jerry Treñas who announced the vice mayor’s state of health last August 30.
Ganzon had himself hospitalized on August 27 after vomiting. His initial laboratory tests showed an “onset of pneumonia” and gallstones.
