Vice Gov Ferrer says 2020 budget will be passed by end-Nov
The Provincial Board of Negros Occidental is seen to approve the proposed P4.2-billion 2020 budget for the province by the end of the month.
“We can finish it probably by the end of November since we have already set a schedule,” said Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer.
The five-day budget deliberations started Wednesday.
However, Ferrer raised the possibility that the wrapping up of the discussions would be delayed by a day or two.
For next year, the provincial government will receive the Internal Revenue Allotment share of P3.726 billion, which will form the bulk of the budget source. Other sources are earnings from the province’s economic enterprise and other local income.
The proposed budget is five-percent higher compared to this year’s P4 billion.
