The Bacolod City government will not extend the permits of the vendors at the public plaza.

They must vacate the area today, January 6, according to Executive Assistant Ernie Pineda.

Pineda said the vendors were given special permits to sell at the public plaza from December 3, 2019 to January 6, 2020 only. (https://bit.ly/2ZXGKYK)

To recall, Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued an executive order establishing the “Paskwa sa Plaza” at the Bacolod public plaza for the duration of the Christmas season.

Meanwhile, Pineda said the City Legal Office-Enforcement Unit and the Bacolod City Police Office are monitoring the downtown area to arrest vendors who continue to sell their wares in the area.
