Two Iloilo bets on quarantine file COCs
Two candidates for a municipal post who were supposed to undergo home quarantine reportedly filed their certificates of candidacy (COCs) last week.
The aspirants were from the municipalities of Pavia and Balasan in Iloilo province, provincial election supervisor Elizabeth Doronila said.
The candidate from Balasan reportedly arrived in their town from outside Region 6. (https://bit.ly/3mGWNG0)
The Pavia candidate, on one hand, underwent RT-PCR test but left their house prior to the release of results.
The Commission on Elections-6 already sent a memorandum to the municipal election officers of Pavia and Balasan to monitor the two candidates.
Should the two show symptoms, Doronila said they would take necessary action or may file a case.
