Treñas urges public to book free walking tour
In its bid to revive the city’s tourism, the Iloilo City Government offers free “walking tours” to Ilonggos and tourists in the different historical sights in the City Proper district.
The “Free Walking Tour” features a tour in the different tourist sites from City Hall facing Plaza Libertad passing Calle Real to Casa Real at Capitol grounds in City Proper.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said the first batch of participants were able to increase their awareness of the city’s cultural heritage.
“On our first day, we were able to create awareness and appreciation of the city’s rich cultural heritage and history,” Treñas said in his social media page.
The mayor encouraged the public to avail of the free walking tour to support tourism promotions of the city and help the economy recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
