Treñas urges businesses to sign up for safety seal
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas urged business establishments in the city to apply for a Safety Seal so they can operate with bigger capacities under a modified enhanced community quarantine.
The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government for the protection of both consumers and personnel from Covid-19.
“If establishments have a Safety Seal, customers are assured of a safe visit and everyone is protected,” said Treñas. (https://bit.ly/38QzYJA)
“While we are facing a surge in Covid-19 cases we are trying to balance our responses with measures to revive the economy,” he added.
The mayor also asked spas, fitness centers or gyms and personal care services to apply for the Safety Seal in case they are allowed to operate.
Business owners must email firstname.lastname@example.org to request for a Safety Seal. A checklist will be sent for them to accomplish.
Once complied, personnel from the Business Permits and Licensing Division, City Health Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, City Compliance Team, and the Philippine National Police will inspect establishments. If found compliant, a Safety Seal will be granted to them.
