Treñas to join inspection of businesses for permits
Mayor Jerry Treñas warned that all business establishments in Iloilo City without the necessary permits by January 21 will be shut down.
“If they lack proper permits, they will be closed,” Treñas said.
The Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) has set the deadline for the application for the renewal of permits on January 20.
“There will be no extension of the deadline,” BPLO head Norman Tabud said. (https://bit.ly/2FOS4wZ)
The mayor said he will personally inspect and check the compliance of business establishments in the city.
In Memorandum Order No. 19-223, Treñas directed the BPLO, Bureau of Fire and Protection, the City Tourism and Development Office, and the City Treasurer’s Office to conduct the joint inspections to ensure that business establishments comply with the requirements of the city.
