Treñas scraps transport holiday due to delta threat
Mayor Jerry Treñas scrapped the proposed one-day suspension of public transportation in Iloilo City.
Treñas cited the threat of the delta variant of Covid-19 for his decision.
“It’s going to be difficult. We have frontliners who are working in hospitals and supermarkets,” the city mayor said. (https://bit.ly/3rOQD8Y)
His statement came after a review of the proposal done by the Public Safety and Transportation Management Office and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
