Treñas calls for strict curfew enforcement for minors
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas instructed local authorities to strictly implement the city’s curfew ordinance as coronavirus (Covid-19) cases continue to rise.
Treñas said that he instructed the Iloilo City Police Office, Public Safety and Transportation Management Office to implement the curfew to prevent the potential spread of Covid-19
due to the unnecessary gatherings of minors.
“Please strongly enforce curfew for minors. I have given instructions to (Iloilo City police director) Col. Uldarico Garbanzos to start reminding minors to comply with the curfew,” he also said. (https://bit.ly/38QZUFo)
According to him, minors violating the curfew hours will be brought to the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Treñas reminded that the city’s curfew ordinance passed in November last year is still in effect imposing the curfew hours for minors from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
