Terence Calatrava appointed new OPAV chief
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed a businessman from Cebu to lead the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (Opav).
Terence Calatrava took his oath of office before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin at Malacañang on December 6.
His appointment comes five months after businessman Michael Lloyd Dino stepped down as Opav chief. (https://bit.ly/3Bg6uTW)
Despite the designation, Calatrava will hold the position of undersecretary, a rank lower than secretary.
Dino served as a secretary under then President Rodrigo Duterte from 2016 to 2022.
