Taya na! STL firm now operating in Iloilo
After several delays, Iloilo province is finally getting a taste of Small Town Lottery (STL), the numbers game envisioned to stop jueteng.
Eagle Crest Gaming and Holding Corp. COO Sam Aguilar said they installed and tested the draw machine from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office on Sunday, April 23.
The ECGHC will hold two draws a day from Monday to Saturday; and one draw on Sunday.
Under its franchise, ECGHC is required to collect P3 million daily from STL bets.
Aguilar said they have complied with the requirements for the operations, adding their employees are ready.
He added he has reached out to supposed operators of illegal gambling or bookies in Iloilo, urging them to “join us in this legitimate business.”
Meanwhile, Aguilar said it is up to PCSO to decide how much the local government unit will get as its share from the STL charity fund.
