Target completion in early 2019: Cebu sports complex construction on!

Cebu will soon have its own sports complex after top officials led the groundbreaking ceremony for the facility last Oct. 19.

Governor Hilario Davide III led provincial officials at the groundbreaking for the P19.96-million facility in Sitio Sudlon in Barangay Lahug in Cebu City.

The project, with the Pragmatic Development and Construction Corp. as contractor, is due for completion in March 2019.

Also present at the groundbreaking were Philippine Sports Commissioner head Ramon Fernandez, Cebu Provincial Sports Commission Executive Director Ramil Abing, Provincial Engineer Hector Jamora, Department of Education Sports coordinator Nenita Jaralve, and PDCC representative Roby Tanjuatao.

Davide said provincial athletes could train at the sports complex once it is completed.

He added the facility may generate income if there are private entities that want to use it for their activities.
