Street dance, electric MassKara contingents to get subsidy from city gov’t

The Bacolod City Government allocated funding to barangays competing in the street and arena dance competition and the Electric MassKara of the MassKara Festival 2022.
The Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the Memorandum of Agreements granting the aforementioned financial assistance on Wednesday.
The city government will provide P200,000 to each street and arena dance competition contingent, and P150,000 to each Electric MassKara contingent. (https://bit.ly/3UyPMHj)
Previously, the festival’s organizer, Bacolod Yuhum Foundation Inc., provided P300,000 and P50,000 to each participating barangay in the street and arena dance competitions, as well as the Electric MassKara participants.
The total subsidy received by each contingent for the street and arena dance competition is P500,000, according to Councilor Jason Villarosa, chairperson of the tourism committee, and P200,000 for each Electric MassKara contingent.
The street and arena dance competition will be held on October 23, while the Electric MassKara will be held on October 22.
