Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the official turnover and inauguration of three bridges in cities of Silay and Sagay on March 22.
The construction of two bridges in Barangays Puey and Bato in Sagay City, and the rehabilitation of Napilas bridge in Silay City, and farm to market roads, were among the infrastructure projects under the Philippine Rural Development Project of the Department of Agriculture.
Lacson stated that the newly rehabilitated P162-million Hinicayan to Violeta farm-to-market road and Napilas Bridge in Silay City will help boost the local economy by improving transportation. (https://bit.ly/3K2OZes)
He also promised to build more bridges in Sagay City to assist farmers and communities in upland barangays.
Meanwhile, the newly opened Himoga-an bridge will connect the barangays of Bato and Baviera, as well as provide easier access to upper barangays such as Sewahon, Colonia Divina, and other nearby barangays in Cadiz City.
The Himoga-an Bridge III in Barangay Puey, on one hand, will provide easier access from Bato and the lowland barangays of Sagay.
