Silay City mayor wants ‘drug lord’ dead or alive
Silay City (Negros Occidental) Mayor Mark Golez wants local police to get suspected drug lord Michael Divinagracia “dead or alive,” following the arrest of two suspected couriers last Jan. 28.
Golez said that despite the arrest of the suspected couriers, others can take their place so long as Divinagracia remains on the loose.
Divinagracia is the alleged boss of Jose Alberto Pinaga and Maebelle Belmonte, who were caught allegedly transporting P18 million worth of suspected shabu.
Last Jan. 28, police arrested Pinaga and Belmonte at the roll on-roll off port of Dumangas, Iloilo. Seized from the two was a kilo of suspected shabu worth P18 million.
Investigation showed the couple, linked to Divinagracia and the Aki Cuadra robbery group, picked up the suspected shabu in Metro Manila (https://thedailyguardian.net/banner-news/dead-alive-negros-mayor-wants-drug-lord-neutralized/).
Golez said he did not expect the couple to resume their drug trafficking activities after they surrendered in 2016.
