Seniors, PWDs in Lapu-Lapu to get aid
Senior citizens and persons with disabilities in Lapu-Lapu City will receive year-end cash aid from the city government no later than December 15.
The City Council approved an ordinance authored by Councilor Annabeth Cuizon last Thursday, granting qualified beneficiaries year-end cash assistance.
Senior citizens will receive P4,000 while persons with disabilities will get P3,000. (https://bit.ly/3VRSGXs)
Senior citizens must have a valid and original Senior Citizen’s ID issued by the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs.
Persons with disability, on one hand, must be a holder of an original Person with Disability Identification Card issued by the City Social Welfare and Development Office-Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office.
Senior citizens and people with disabilities must also have an active voting record in the city and have lived there as of September 30.
Relatives of beneficiaries who died after September 30 must submit the following documents to the City Treasurer’s Office:
-the original death certificate
-proof of relationship with the deceased (birth certificate and marriage certificate), and
-the deceased’s Senior Citizen or PWD ID.
