The opening of a Securities and Exchange Extension (SEC) Office in Bacolod will be a game change for the city’s business community, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said.

“We have a fast growing economy and all the big players are here,” Leonardia said at the recent inauguration of the SEC office in Barangay Taculing.

With the SEC Bacolod Extension Office, Negrense businessmen will no longer travel to Iloilo City for the SEC registration.

“We are committed to seeing business grow. If business is good, more employment opportunities will come,” the politiko added.

The Negros Occidental province has a total of 10,000 registered corporations, including 7,000 from Bacolod City.
