Samsam Gullas’ advice: Use Easter Sunday as a fresh start

Mayor Samsam Gullas of Talisay City, Cebu opted for a more inspirational tone to cap off Holy Week, seeing the death and resurrection of Christ as an annual reminder of renewal and improvement.

“Even the day Good Friday gives us hope. That’s why it’s not called Bad Friday, cause we know that the miracle of Easter is coming,” the politiko said.

“I look at Easter as a symbol of hope. A new beginning that God has given us. Take this opportunity to be better. Take this opportunity to become better versions of yourselves,” he added, inviting Pinoys to mark “new beginnings” on this miraculous Sunday.
