Safe na: Albee Benitez checks out housing plans in Marawi
The former battleground is now safe and quiet.
Negros Occidental Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez paid a visit to the Ground Zero of the five-month battle between government troops and Maute rebels in Marawi City weeks ahead of Christmas.
As head of the Committee on Housing at the House of Representatives, the politiko wanted to see for himself how the site looks like, just before the National Housing Authority starts the construction work for homes for displaced residents.
It takes guts to fly down the former battleground, but Benitez did it in a breeze.
