Roxas City to intensify contact tracing efforts via app
The city government of Roxas plans to use a mobile application for a more efficient and effective coronavirus disease (Covid-19) contact tracing.
The application is called Digitized Roxas City Epidemiological Contact Tracing System (DIRECTS).
“The Roxas City Information and Communication Technology Team presented to me a technological innovation that may augment and strengthen our Covid-19 contact tracing data management system,” according to Mayor Ronnie Dadivas. (https://bit.ly/3jRejom)
How does DIRECTS work?
Upon registration, the DIRECTS app would be generating a unique QR code for the registrant. Information supplied by the registrant and the generated QR code would be made into an identification card.
The QR code/ID should be presented for scanning every time the registrant enters commercial establishments, government and private offices, educational institutions, etc.
