Rama urges PhilHealth to settle reimbursement claims
Acting Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama asked the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) to fulfill obligations to hospitals in the city.
The unpaid PhilHealth dues are providing a financial burden to some private hospitals, said Rama.
“I am also appealing to the national government, because the problem also with the medical services, they have not been paid by PhilHealth,” according to him. (https://bit.ly/2WU7ZWz)
“How can you have movement? Money is very important so that all these corporate requirements can also be addressed,” he added.
Once PhilHealth settles its dues, Rama said private hospitals can hire more medical staff and strengthen its services, especially in providing medical assistance to those infected with Covid-19.
