Rama signs contract for P900M CCMC project

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama on Wednesday signed a contract with representatives of M.E Sicat Construction for the fourth phase of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) building.

The contract is worth P900 million, according to Michael Allan Sicat, president of the construction firm.

Sicat said the fourth phase of the project covers the construction of the physical structures of the remaining floors of the 10-story hospital building. It also includes completing and furnishing the interiors of the fourth and fifth floors of the building. (

Rama said that he wants the CCMC to be a globally competitive hospital that serves the poor.

He also requested the contractors to finish the project in time for his birthday on October 29.
