Rama positive for Covid-19
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama has contracted Covid-19.
But, Rama, who tested positive for Covid-19 for the first time, remained asymptomatic Tuesday, August 2.
He was supposed to be in Malacañang for a meeting, but the mayor tested positive after a couple of RT-PCR tests on July 31 and August 1, the city’s public information office announced. (https://bit.ly/3Jsu7vb)
said the mayor is doing well and there is nothing to worry about his condition.
Rama is currently in quarantine in his residence as part of the basic protocol for a fully vaccinated individual with a booster shot, according to Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, the city’s consultant for health and hospital operation.
The mayor assured the public that the daily operations of City Hall would not be disrupted because all organizational structures were already in place.
