Quisumbing backs release of narco-list ahead of 2019 polls

Mandaue City Mayor Luis Quisumbing expressed his support for the plan of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to release the narco-list for the midterm elections.

The DILG should reveal the names as soon as possible, said Quisumbing in a Freeman report.

“I hope that these narcopoliticians and their motives are unmasked ASAP,” the politiko added.

To alleviate public-safety concerns, Quisumbing assured the people of Mandaue that the city government has intensified its campaign against illegal drugs.

“In fact, some politicians were called already by the (Criminal Investigation and Detection Group) to explain their alleged involvement and connections in the drug trade. Even in our City Council, efforts were made to cover up the details of a Parojinog linked operation,” he said.
