Politikos told: Keep speeches short in Dinagyang fest

National politicians who are invited to the 51st Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City will not be allowed to deliver long speeches.

The main highlights of this year’s festival will be held on January 26 to 27.

Protocol officer Jorvelyn Espinosa said in The Daily Guardian report that select personalities are expected to speak before the Dinagyang crowd.

“Our keynote speakers were given an advisory for the speech guidelines and we have already sent the guidelines to the confirmed guests and speakers through their staffs,” Espinosa added.

The speech should be limited only two to three minutes, according to the guidelines.

Guests who have confirmed their attendance at the festival are Senators Cynthia Villar and Franklin Drilon, and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos.
