Yedda Romualdez is moving to make life easier for abandoned babies and children.

The Tingog Party-List congresswoman shared that her Committee on the Welfare of Children has approved a bill declaring that all abandoned children with unknown parents are natural-born Filipino citizens. While it may sound like a plot straight out of Maalaala Mo Kaya, it’s necessary –– especially for someone like Senator Grace Poe, who almost got booted out of the Presidential race because of her unknown origins.

“House Bill (HB) 3472 or the Foundling Welfare Act, principally authored by Ang Probinsyano Party-list Rep. Ronnie Ong, aims to promote the rights of foundlings and give them the rights all Filipino children are entitled to,” the politiko said, vowing to see its passage through the plenary.
