No schedule yet for vaccination of A4 group – Lacson
The Province of Negros Occidental is still waiting for the go signal from the national government to start the inoculation of economic frontliners or those belonging to the A4 priority group, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said.
Lacson said they have been receiving requests for the vaccination of economic frontliners in the province.
“If we can only open vaccination to A4 and A5 categories, then the target of 70 percent could be reached at a faster pace,” he added. (https://bit.ly/3k2hU5Q)
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported that as of July 6, more than 200,000 individuals in Negros Occidental have been vaccinated.
Of the number, 168,797 got their first dose, while 31,897 received their second dose, the PHO said.
Meanwhile, Lacson admitted that they failed to hit their vaccination targets for A1 to A3 categories due to the availability of vaccines.
“We have not received the required vaccines for these sectors,” according to him.
