Fully vaccinated tourists will no longer need to present a negative RT-PCR test result to enter Boracay Island starting November 16, according to Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores.

Miraflores said tourists must only show proof of vaccination. (

“Mag-submit lang ng vaccination certificate or VaxCertPH under the (Department of Information and Communications Technology) website, o ‘yung kanilang vaccination card na may QR code galing sa issuing (local government unit),” the governor told ABS-CBN Teleradyo’s Sakto.

According to him, those yet to be vaccinated or partially inoculated should still present a negative RT-PCR test result upon arrival.

The province has set up a system to detect fake vaccination cards and/or certificates, he added.
