New NegOcc provincial COP to start duties January 7
Effective Monday, Jan. 7, Negros Occidental will have a new provincial police chief, Western Visayas police head Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao said.
Bulalacao said new provincial police chief Superintendent Romeo Baleros replace Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil.
Castil will then take Baleros’ post as the regional intelligence chief .
“There will be no elaborate turnover. It will only be relieve in place and a simple picture taking,” Bulalacao said, adding they are busy preparing for the campaign period of the 2019 midterm elections.
Despite his relief, Castil’s transfer is actually a promotion, Bulalacao noted. Castil started serving Negros Occidental police chief in August 2017.
