Negrenses urged to pray, give thanks in New Year’s message

In his yearend message, Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. encouraged everyone to pray with thankfulness.

“Every individual in the province has his or her own resolution, which wishes for good health and prosperity for him or herself, for home, for the province, and for the whole country,” Marañon said in a recent media interview.

“Pray and give thanks for the many blessings and grace you have received this year,” the politiko said in a Watchmen Daily Journal article.

He also said he is looking forward to a “more progressive” and peaceful province next year.

Marañon is now serving his third and last term as governor.
