NegOcc still under MGCQ, adopts shorter curfew hours

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson extended the modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) status in the province until the end of June.

The executive order (EO) Lacson issued also shortened the curfew by one hour.

This, after the Covid-19 classification of Negros Occidental remained at “low-risk” according to the Department of Health Western Visayas. (

In EO 21-27, the governor shortened the curfew hours from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Exempted are persons in need of emergency services, personnel in cargo vehicles, and Authorized Persons Outside Residence with valid work schedules.

As of May 30, Negros Occidental logged 1,426 active Covid-19 infections.
