NegOcc SP eyes 2020 budget approval by first week of December
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental has started its 5-day deliberation on the province’s proposed P4.2-billion budget for 2020.
Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said the SP eyes to approve the budget by the first week of December.
He sees no problem in the passage of the budget, added Ferrer.
Meanwhile, the vice governor said the SP unanimously approved the P40,565,675.74 Supplemental Budget No. 10. (https://bit.ly/2KnUwNE)
The supplemental budget includes P25.5 million to the Provincial Engineer’s Office for the installation of air-conditioning units, 3-phase extension line with transformers, and lightings and fixtures at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center, as well as design and improvement of Negros Residences.
The Provincial Health Office received a budget of almost P7 million for its Barangay Nutrition Program, traveling expenses, gasoline, oil, and lubricants.
Other allocations include P3.6 million for the Office of the Provincial Agriculturists; P2.4 million for the Governor’s Office; P500,000 for the Provincial Treasurer’s Office; P500,000 for the Provincial Veterinary Office; P360,000 for the Negros First Provincial Blood Center; P250,000 for the Provincial Planning and Development Office; P200,000 for the Negros Occidental Tourism Division; P100,000 for the Sports Development Section; and P100,000 for the Hospital Operations Department.
