NegOcc mayor laments false allegations, denies NPA links
Moises Padilla Mayor Ella Garcia-Yulo of Negros Occidental denied talks linking her to the New People’s Army (NPA).
Garcia-Yulo called the latest cases filed against her as “trumped up” charges.
Most of the individuals who accused her of having links with the communist rebels are working for her uncle, former mayor Magdaleno Peña, she said.
The lady politiko also denied issuing execution orders against persons killed in their town, saying she did not even know them personally.
“The [only] political threat that I have is Frank Nazareno, and he’s still alive, and in fact he supported me during the 2019 elections,” Garcia-Yulo added.
