NegOcc guv open to shorter curfew
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is considering reduced curfew hours in Negros Occidental “as long as minimum health standards are maintained.”
Shorter curfew hours will help local businesses recover from the coronavirus pandemic, said Lacson.
“Shortening curfew hours will allow businesses, especially those engaged in the food industry, to open for longer hours,” he added. (https://bit.ly/34oirHg)
Lacson, however, clarified that he would be leaving the decision to the mayors.
Metro Manila mayors had earlier decided to impose shorter curfew hours from midnight to 4 a.m. as part of the government’s move to ease restrictions and restart the economy.
