NegOcc gov’t secures P1.2B loan to improve infra projects
The Negros Occidental Provincial Government has entered into an agreement with the Land Bank of the Philippines to avail of a P1.2 billion loan.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. signed the deal with Landbank First Vice President Elsie Fe Tagupa on Tuesday.
Marañon said the loan funds will be used to construct the Provincial Administration Center, upgrade the Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial District Hospital in Hinoba-an, and improve the Mambukal Convention Hotel and Tourist Lodge, Negros First Hotel, and Negros Food Terminal.
In 2016, the provincial government also borrowed P500 million from the same lending institution to fund the administration center, resort lodge, hotel, and food terminal.
