NegOcc eases border control in Kabankalan City

Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental has opened its border in Barangay Tagukon.

Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. directed border personnel to implement Executive Order No. (EO) 21-12 issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

EO 21-12 lays down the guidelines on the entry of Mabinay residents to Kabankalan in the central portion of southern Negros. (

Entry shall be limited to residents of Mabinay only. Upon entry, they must present a valid government identification card.

Mabinay residents shall strictly enter the city only through private vehicles.

“We will give them just 12 hours to stay within Kabankalan. The reason is really for commerce, and sometimes for medical reasons,” said Lacson.
