More ambulances for Bacolod town
Seven barangays in Bacolod City are set to receive new ambulances worth P2.5 million from the Department of Health, Rep. Greg Gasataya said.
The barangay beneficiaries are Mansilingan, Handumanan, Felisa, Cabug, Punta Taytay, Tangub, and Banago.
“These barangays will soon have their own ambulance intended for the residents and we are hoping that health services in these areas will be improved,” said Gasataya.
He pointed out that health services are a priority, particularly in barangays far from the city proper.
The Senate, meanwhile, approved on third and final reading Gasataya’s bill expanding the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod.
Once enacted, House Bill No. 8835 will increase the bed capacity of the CLMMRH from 400 to 1,000 and provide the hospital with additional personnel, medicine, buildings, and facilities.
