Michael Dino rounds up all Cebu mayors with first COVID-19 case
Michael Dino made sure that Cebu would not repeat the mistakes of Metro Manila in handling the quarantine due to the novel coronavirus.
Shortly after Mandaue City confirmed the region’s first COVID-19 patient, the Presidential assistant rounded up all city and town mayors to draw up a uniform plan on quarantine and border control.
Dino, officially assigned as the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas summoned Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan and Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes to check on how the lockdown will work in the province.
“Cebu’s top leaders have agreed to come up with a uniform policy on strickter border controls which will be announced anytime soon,” Garcia said.
