Mayor pushes for antigen test for returning Boracay workers
Malay mayor Frolibar Bautista of Aklan province is proposing antigen testing for employees returning to work in Boracay.
Bautista stressed the need to check the workers for possible coronavirus disease (Covid-19) infection.

The mayor’s proposal is separate from the regular reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction tests for tourism workers in Boracay every four weeks.
“Keeping the workplace safe and for employees to return to work safely are our priorities,” said Bautista.
Boracay recorded only two confirmed Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic last year. Both recovered.
