Mayor Osmeña warns delinquent lot owners to show up before Cebu City auctions their properties
Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña warned 96 lot owners to show up before the city government is forced to auction their properties.
The Cebu politiko said the city government is losing around half a million per year because the owners of some properties cannot be identified.
Osmeña said the lot owners have three months to make their claims.
“These notices will be placed on those properties. If the owners do not come forward in 3 months, the City Government will begin the process of seizing and auctioning off the properties,” he said.
“The same will apply to delinquent businesses. If you pay your fair share of taxes, no problem. But if you don’t, then soon your business will be none of your business,” Tolentino added.
