Mayor Leonardia throws dinner party for Fil-Canadian tourists in Bacolod
The politiko made sure to impress these balikbayans with his charm.
Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia went the extra mile in welcoming 250 Filipino-Canadians who went to visit Bacolod City on a group tour to the Philippines.
The city hall arranged a special MassKara-themed night for these guests, where Leonardia had the chance to invite the tourists to invest in Bacolod.
“We know that after having stayed in Canada for quite some time, many of you, if not all, may want to invest someday, and you may have friends who might come to the Philippines to invest someday,” Leonardia said.
“How we wish that when that happens, you will consider Bacolod City,” the politiko added.
Philippine Ambassador Petronila Garcia and the Fil-Canadians are in the country from Feb. 3 to 11 for a guided tour to Manila, Davao and Bacolod.
