Mayor closes down Kabankalan City Hall for disinfection
Mayor Pedro Zayco temporarily closed the city hall of Kabankalan in Negros Occidental following seven confirmed coronavirus (Covid-19) cases at the City Engineer’s Office (CEO).
The three-day closure paves the way for disinfecting of the building, said Zayco.
The patients, he added, had exposure to an infected engineer who died last week. They were all quarantined. (https://bit.ly/2IXamBi)
Zayco also ordered swab testing for all employees of the CEO, City Mayor’s Office and the City Assessor’s Office.
As of November 19, the city had a total of 406 confirmed cases, 42 of which were active, seven dead, and 357 recovered.
