Mayor Chiong imposes truck ban effective Feb. 1
Mayor Kristine Vanessa Chiong issued an Executive Order No. (EO) 122, series of 2021, imposing a truck ban in Naga City, Cebu starting today.
The truck ban covers all the six-wheeler trucks and above traversing the N. Bacalso Avenue and Naga-Uling Road, and all interior roads from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays, except Sundays and non-working holidays.
Trailer trucks carrying empty cargo containers are also prohibited in traversing in the city’s roads from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. (https://bit.ly/2MIwGju)
Parking on roadsides or sidewalks along the national highway is also prohibited at all times. The purpose of the truck ban is to help decongest the traffic situation in the city.
Chiong tasked the City of Naga Traffic Management Authority and the police personnel to impose the said order.
