Martin Romualdez witnesses start of Tacloban’s new hospital
Martin Romualdez is bringing healthcare closer to the people of Leyte.
The congressman and House Majority Leader witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Tacloban North Infirmary, a feat for the residents living in northern barangays within the city.
“For the longest time, public health has always been a rising concern; last year, the world was hit, as it in fact continues to suffer, with a reminder, if not a warning, that if we do not pay attention to the health of our people, it has always been our primary concern to ensure that everyone has an affordable, effective, and efficient access to quality health care,” the politiko said, learning from the COVID-19 crisis.
“In this groundbreaking, we celebrate the beginning of a triumph, not only for those of us who can promptly reach hospital care once this establishment is erected, but we also celebrate the dedication and commitment that our public health workers, led by our doctors and nurses, have for our people,” he added.
