Martin Romualdez reunites with GMA for Christmas
It’s all thanks to his cousin for making this happen.
Former Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez found himself back together with long-time ally, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, for a pre-Christmas celebration.
The politiko and his brother ex-Tacloban Mayor Alfred Romualdez hung out with the former President turned House Speaker at the home of their cousin Jose Manuel “Babe” Romualdez, who is currently the Philippine Ambassador to the United States.
Former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo also joined the party.
“All this celebration hosted by Babe, incidentally, comes at a meaningful time, because the historic Balangiga bells are slated to come home from the U.S., thanks in no small measure to his efforts,” Martin said.

There’s nothing quite like family. Salamat sa pinsan ko, si Jose Manuel “Babe” Romualdez, Philippine Ambassador to the United State of America, for entertaining us at his home for an early Christmas cocktail dinner. Siyempre, malaking karangalan din to be in the presence of House Speaker and Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Former First Husband Mike Arroyo, and of course, my other cousin, Former Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, who wishes to serve his hometown once more. All this celebration hosted by Babe, incidentally, comes at a meaningful time, because the historic Balangiga bells are slated to come home from the U.S., thanks in no small measure to his efforts. Mabuhay tayong lahat!
What a wonderful reunion for these Lakas-CMD stalwarts!
