Mandatory vaccination of workers eyed in Iloilo City
The city government of Iloilo may require employees of business establishments in the metro to get vaccinated against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Those who wouldn’t may not be allowed to work, said Mayor Jerry Treñas.
“It would be useless if we do not make the vaccination a requirement,” he added. (https://bit.ly/3k8Cvnb)
Treñas said he is planning to issue a directive that would make it mandatory for employees to have the Covid-19 vaccine.
“I believe this pandemic won’t end unless everyone is vaccinated,” the local chief executive also said.
Last January, the city entered into a tripartite agreement with AstraZeneca and the national government for the advance procurement of 600,000 vials of AZD1222 Vaccine.
