Luigi Quisumbing has a wild idea: Door-to-door blood donation

It’s hard to shore up blood bags during a pandemic, so why not bring the generous act to people’s homes?

Former Mandaue Mayor Luigi Quisumbing had a creative idea on how people can help struggling patients in need of blood. The politiko is calling for a system which he dubs as a door-to-door blood drive, where medical teams wearing protective gear may be sent to the home of a qualified donor to extract blood as needed in the hospital.

Blood drives were usually a communal thing in malls and offices until COVID-19 struck.
