Loren Legarda lectures students in German university
Her subject for the day: piña cloth weaving.
Antique Rep. Loren Legarda flew to Bochum in Germany to represent the Philippines as she signed an academic cooperation deal with the heads of Ruhr University. The school is apparently the first public university in the foreign country post-World War II, which now wants student and professor exchanges with the Philippines.
Legarda also went to deliver an “interactive lecture” on piña embroidery using photos and videos of Filipino weavers.
